Last July, Columbus Water Works opened our first two stationary drop-off sites for customers to leave their used kitchen grease in a disposable container, any time of day / any day of the year.  The response from the community has been extremely positive!  Based on these results, we have expanded the number of locations available for grease drop-off.

Please remember that kitchen grease should never be poured down the drains! It can cause major damage to the sewer lines on private property as well as the public sewer lines.

All of the sites listed below are now available for use.recycle

  • John Rigdon Park (6800 Psalmond Road)
  • Corner of Buena Vista Road and Higgs Drive
  • Corner of Lindsay Drive and Glenwood Drive
  • Corner of 45th Street and 2nd Avenue
  • South Commons CSO (Lumpkin Boulevard, behind the Civic Center)
  • Frank Chester Park - 1441 Benning Road
  • 1335 Alexander Street (past the entrance to Columbus Water Works Service Center on the right)
  • 3001 South Lumpkin Road (Through the South Columbus Water Resources Facility main gate)
