Supporting our Kids Going Back to School
Kids are getting ready to venture off to another year full of classes, learning challenges and new experiences. Parents and grandparents are working hard to make sure they have what they need to make the best of the new school year. Columbus Water Works’ team members are proud to have been able to contribute to the United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley’s annual “Stuff the Bus” campaign gathering school supplies for families who need a little extra support.

This year’s “Stuff the Bus” campaign collected and distributed 5,226 filled backpacks to Title 1 schools for kids K-2 in Columbus, Phenix City, Russell County and Harris County. 33 additional boxes of supplies were also donated to schools for teachers to allocate to their students in need throughout the school year. This event provides needed support to our children allowing them to focus on learning instead of focusing on things they need.

The Columbus Water Works cares about our youth and wish everyone a safe and productive school year.
