Water Line Rehabilitation Work in Uptown Columbus
Columbus Water Works recognizes that proper maintenance of our infrastructure is important so that we can provide cost-effective and reliable services to our community.  One essential element of our comprehensive maintenance program is the inspection and rehabilitation of water lines.
Beginning on November 9, approximately 10,000 linear feet of water lines between 6th Street and 10th Street, traveling north and south and between Front Avenue and 5th Avenue, traveling east and west will undergo scheduled maintenance.  Due to the size and complexity of this project, work is expected to take approximately 120 days.  Pending any unforeseen emergencies or weather delays, work is scheduled to be completed in March 2017.

Our contractor, Spinello, Inc. will begin this project on Wednesday, November 9th.   Work is scheduled to occur Monday through Friday between the hours 8 am and 4 pm.  At this time, no road closures are expected.  Security barriers and signage will be in place to ensure the safety of pedestrians and reduce the disruption of the traffic flow.

Columbus Water Works employs many maintenance and rehabilitation programs, such as this cleaning and lining project, to prolong the life and productivity of our infrastructure and prevent water line breaks.

Please follow us on our Facebook page for updates and additional information about this and other construction projects.
