Memorial Day
Memorial Day is a federal holiday designed to honor the men and women who have died while serving in the U.S. military. During this time, they are remembered for their contributions to the safety and freedom of our country. Without their dedication to protect us, we would not be the politically, socially, and economically sound nation that we are.

American citizens gather today to honor the fallen through parades, cookouts, and by decorating their gravesites. The U.S. Congress has also established a National Moment of Remembrance for Memorial Day, which asks Americans wherever they are on Monday, May 29, 2017 at 3pm local time, to pause in an act of national unity for one minute.

In observance of Memorial Day, Columbus Water Works’ offices will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2017. Emergency Crews will be available, if you have a leak or other water related emergencies, please call 706-649-3400.
